Kuka robotics agv4/5/2024 ![]() KUKA will showcase a cell from Elevation Packaging featuring a KR IONTEC robot to boost the efficiency of product bag handling. Food-sector certified for material safety, the entire robot carries IP 67 high-protection certification, with IP 69K for axis 4 which is also ISO 3 rated for cleanroom applications. The design accepts alkaline or acidic high-pressure cleaning and disinfection up to 100 kPa for simplified upkeep and shorter downtimes. The robot is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel that protects against dust and moisture. ![]() This ceiling-mounted robot offers a reach of 1200 mm, a maximum payload capacity of 3 kg, and cycle times as low as 0.5 sec. The KR 3 DELTA combines precise grip, corrosion resistance, and minimal maintenance requirements to excel in sensitive high-speed production applications. The KR 3 DELTA hygienic robot provides outstanding performance and value for pick-and-place applications for the food, packaging, electronics, and pharmaceutical industries. The demonstration exemplifies how KUKA automation provides increased production control while helping food-processing companies reduce operating costs, avoid failures, and maintain high-quality standards. On the pick-and-place/bin-picking application side, KUKA will simulate an actual Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) production environment with a cell that also includes a KR 3 DELTA Hygienic robot along with KR 6 SCARA and KR 6 AGILUS robots.įor the handling of primary foods, KUKA, together with integrator Torfresma, will demonstrate the KR3 Delta HM robot in a solution for the primary foods industry. Also, for palletizing and depalletizing, the company will feature the CUBE palletizing cell from partner FOCUS Integration, and the KMP 600-S diffDrive mobile platform operating in a Mujin cell with two KR IONTEC robots. For primary food processing, KUKA will spotlight its KR 3 Delta HM Hygienic robot and, in a bag palletizing cell, its KR IONTEC robot. For example, it acts as a top-load AGV and lifts pallets or cartons up to 60mm via its integrated lifting device. In several working demonstrations, KUKA Robotics will showcase various innovative automation solutions for specific handling applications during PACK EXPO 2023 in booth C-3236 Central Hall. Also, linking the KMP 600-S diffDrive to a wide variety of workstations precisely gets the right load-handling options. Specifically, adding 3D object detection expands the KMP 600-S diffDrive to detect obstacles from 50mm to 2.10m above the ground. ![]() “That’s why the KMP 600-S diffDrive uses eight safety zones at both the front and rear – customizable for vehicle speeds and specific applications.” “Safety is a central concern for us,” said Jakob Brandl, portfolio manager at KUKA. They allow for high speeds in all directions of travel when cycle times require it. Laser scanners mounted at the front and rear of the machine provide maximum safety. Its IP54 design always enables it to work reliably even under adverse conditions – including water spray and dust.Īll KUKA mobile platforms guarantee employees maximum freedom of movement without the need for safety fencing. At the same time, the KMP 600-S diffDrive is ideally equipped for the tough everyday environment of industrial production. It features high-speed support for production intralogistics and a payload of up to 600kg. The KUKA KMP 600-S diffDrive mobile platform provides a new automated guided vehicle (AGV) system. Mobile solutions must meet extremely high standards for industrial use. The KMP 600-S includes eight individually configurable safety zones at the front and rear.
